Procurement is the process of finding and agreeing to terms, and acquiring goods, services, or works from an external source, often via a tendering or competitive bidding process. Procurement is used to ensure the organization receives goods, services, or works at the best possible price when aspects such as quality, quantity, time, and locations are compared. Procurement involves value analysis, supplier market research, negotiation, contract administration, and inventory control.
Inventory monitoring and control is the major aspect for any materials management dept irrespective of any industry. However, it will be crucial in case of multilocation construction company. It may lead to more resource optimization and fund locking in any company and generates profit.
